The object of Rainy Day Spider Solitaire is to clear all of the cards from the Foundation. In order to remove cards from the Foundation, they must be arranged in a sequentially suited manner, from King through Ace. Kings are high, and Aces are low - you cannot play a King on any other card, and an Ace may only be played on a two. In the case of an open slot in the Foundation, *any* card (or set of cards) may be used to fill it.  When you win a game, you advance closer to the next rank. 

Tips and Tricks:

Spider Solitaire is a very difficult game, even in medium difficulty. Some of these tips are specific to Rainy Day Spider Solitaire, while others are more general tips that you can apply to a standard game of Spider Solitaire.

• Unlike other Solitaire games, you are not required to play a King at the top of each Free Column. Any card (or set of cards) can be played on a free column.
• While you should always try to keep your cards sequentially suited, there are times when it is necessary to play unsuited cards to create space or free up other cards. If you don't like the outcome, you can almost always Undo it.
• If you're faced with two choices, such as moving a card from two different foundation piles, try both to see which will be the most useful. You can always Undo the first move to try the second one. Also, remember to take note of whichever result you don't go with - it could come in handy later on.
• NEVER play an Ace at the top of the 11th Free Column! The only time this is acceptable is if you can find a home for it right after you move it or if you are entirely out of other moves - otherwise, you won't be able to play anything else onto that Free Column until you find a new home for it.
• If you have a set of cards you need to preserve but need to draw, you can move those cards to the 11^th free column to keep them from getting buried.
• The Free Cells can be very powerful tools, but only when used at the right time. It's usually best to save them until the middle stages of the game, when you have a better idea of what you need and where to find it. Only use them early in the game if you are having difficulty finding good moves.
• The Free Cells are a great place to store cards that are getting in your way, especially Aces or any card that appears on the foundation more than 3 or 4 times.
• Sometimes, moving a card back to the foundation from the Free Cells can open up moves you might not have considered.
• If you have to choose between two cards to move from the Foundation, it's usually best to choose whichever one gets you closer to the bottom of the Foundation. The more Free Columns available to you, the more freedom you have to move more cards.

If you switch levels (for instance, from hard to medium) the number of games needed for the next rank may be different. The percentage points shows how much each round counts towards the next rank. 

The percentage level indicates the approximate percentage and number of games needed to advance to the next rank.  Keep in mind that playing at different levels during a rank will change the number of games needed to advance.
