The object of Word Whomp
Whackdown is to make as many words as you can from the 7 or 10 letters
in the middle of the screen.
Make words by clicking or
typing the letters in order. Letters must be NEXT TO EACH OTHER.
You can spell words forward, backward, or diagonally.
When you finish making a
word, click the ENTER button. If the word is in the puzzle, the word
will appear on the signs on the right side of the screen. You'll receive
more time on the time clock for each word that you find!
When you reach the big
fruit or veggie at the top of the screen, you'll open up the Speed Round
and receive tokens for each word you find. The Speed Round starts at the
end of each main round. In addition, you'll earn points towards the next
rank. Munch enough big fruit or veggies and you'll win the special
Gold Carrot Badge!
For a chance at the Word
Whomp Whackdown jackpot, munch the last carrot in the Speed Round!
Tips & Tricks:

All words in the
puzzle contain 3 - 6 letters. Proper names and abbreviations don't
count.

The Word Whomp
Whackdown dictionary does not include every word in the English
language - instead, only those words that are in relatively common
usage are included.

Try the Easy skill
level first level first. When you've mastered the basics, move on to
a higher skill level. At the higher skill levels, your potential
token bonus is greater.

If you're stumped,
click the MIX UP button. When your letters switch places, you can
often find words that you may have overlooked. You can click the MIX
UP button as often as you wish.

After you reach the
big fruit or veggie in the main round, longer words will earn you
more tokens than shorter words. So always look for 5- and 6-letter
words while entering shorter words.

At the end of each
game, look closely at the words you didn't find. These words will
probably show up in future puzzles.

If there's a "s" in
the puzzle, don't forget to add it to as many words as you can to
make plurals!

Playing on hard will advance in ranks faster then playing on
easy. Therefore, there is no set points for advancing
in ranks.
